Prince of Persia – Sands of Time Remake release has been now delayed till 2022 and also won’t be showcased at the company’s E3 2021 forward event this weekend. Before it was decided that the Sands of Time Remake will release in January this year but now Ubisoft delayed the game due to the fans criticism regarding the game’s lackluster visuals and facial animations.

This game is being developed by Ubisoft Prune and Mumbai and marks the studio’s first standalone video game release to date. It was a big undertaking of which did not go as they originally planned. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake was first delayed back in January this year, just two weeks before the game was going to release. Later, Ubisoft pushed its release to March 2021. The game is now delayed because the development cycle needed more time. We still don’t have a release date for the game, however, the developers say it is on track for a 2022 release schedule now.
Recently In a statement, Ubisoft Mumbai says that this delay will allow the studio to put the extra time fin the development of the game and something the fans deserve. They also said in their statement that the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event that is going to kick off this Saturday will not include the game during the show whatsoever.
The Publisher writes “Ubisoft Forward is around the corner and they want to use this time to thank the fans for the amount of support they have shown them in the past year,”.Adding to it “As you might have already read, Price of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward. Ubisoft further said, “We are also making great progress for our game in order to release it next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet”.
The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake will feature a built-from-the-ground-up makeover of its original 2003 release. The game will also include visual enhancements along with new models, textures, lighting pipelines and completely recaptured animations with the help of motion capture. The original actors from the first game will again reprise their role in the remake which will also include Prince actor Yuri Lowenthal back in the role and Guidestones actress Supinder Wraich cast as Farah.
