Sony recently organized the 2nd pre-order sale of PS5 console in India and within a few minutes, all the consoles were over from stock. The first round of pre-order sales was held back in January this year. Although the company hasn’t declared officially anything about the next sale it is expected that the third sale could take place next month.
As per the new report of IGN India, the next PS5 India restocks date is due next month. Further adding to the report it says that the company had brought back the gaming consoles in stock in April and has not yet made all the units available for sale because of the situation of covid19. The report further says that one more reason due to which Sony held the sale was the release of the new exclusive Ratchet and Clank which is going to take place on June 11 this year. The report of IGN India also says that the company wants to avoid the bad publicity of releasing the gaming consoles. It is expected that during the third sale there will be more availability of PS5 Digital edition than it was in the first and second sale.
The price of the Sony PlayStation 5 is Rs 49,990(Second Disc Variant) and Rs 39,990(Digital Edition).
To remind you all the Sony group just after the results call in April end told analysts that it is having difficulties keeping up with strong demand for its latest console. Both component shortages and also excessive demand are responsible for the shortage. The officials did not say a word about when the sale will normalize but it hints that the shortage may extend to next year.
