Well, we all were aware that this was coming, and Grand Theft Auto 5 is about to span three full console generations. Originally it was released back in 2013 on PS3 and Xbox 360, and now GTA5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X will be a reality.
Rockstar Games has finally announced its enhanced version of GTA Online about its release date as to when it will come on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series .
Recently Rockstar Games in a blog post announced that GTA 5 and GTA Online will come on November 11, 2021. Still, there are no exact details of the types of upgrades players which we can expect with GTA 5 on Xbox Series X and PS5. But it is expected that framerates will be higher with better visuals and DualSense utilization on the PS5 version.
As we do not have any screenshots or a trailer of this game and how its upgrade might look like but here is a little bit of description about it.
“The new versions of GTA5 are going to has a range of technical improvements, along with visual upgrades, and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more entertaining than ever. “GTA 5 has sold 140 million consoles across two console generations and PC but does not include a few stints on Xbox Game Pass.”
Rockstar also said that GTA Online players will get special benefits in the coming months so that they can enjoy the upgraded version of the game. PlayStation Plus players are currently getting extra currency in-game every month to the tune of $1 million until this upgrade launches. Adding to this it is also expected that the upgraded standalone version of GTA Online will be available for free only to PS5 users for the first three months after its release until February 2022. Hence it means Xbox Series X/S players will have to pay for playing the game at launch.
It is still unclear whether GTA 5 and GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series X will offer those who own the game on PS4 and Xbox a paid upgrade option or they will need to buy these new versions. We’re also expecting that Rockstar will reveal further details about the new features and enhancements as well as its price.
Once the new versions of GTA 5 arrive in November, then it will officially be the game’s third console generation.
Though GTA5 is still not released Rockstar has started working on GTA 6, but it is still in its early phase. As they have been able to rely on GTA 5 as a massive revenue generator for so long, so they are continuing to focus on making content for GTA Online for nearly a decade. Plus they’re also working on the technical end of all these remasters and re-releases.
