The Reddit update also stated the team’s reason for adding the bots in future updates, Stated: “With a community the size of Destruction AllStars, spread out across the world we have peak times and low times of player activity for online matchmaking”. Adding Further they said ,”We also want to ensure that matches are filled with capacity with as many real players as possible, but when the missing amount of players during queuing for a match, AI bots will take the remaining places”. By adding the feature of bots, Destruction AllStars will also get Global Parties to let their players party up with friends and queue into both Solo and Team modes. A Playlist Feature will be allowed for only your favorite game modes to be selected, and many Quality of Service improvements.
The tea is also working on Ghost hits and is actively working on it alongside balancing the gameplay and adjusting how powerful or weak some of the characters’ abilities appear to be against others.
The peak playing hours of the game is between UTC 4 pm-10 pm on weekdays and UTC 2 pm-1 am on weekends. UTC or Coordinated Universal Time is just one hour behind the British Summer Time, so peak times in the UK are just similar to those in UTC.
Players who like to play outside of peak hours will find it difficult to have a full lobby.
To Recall, Sony announced Destruction Allstars in June 2020, revealing it as a PS5 launch title. Developers Lucid Games announced about the game that there would be a delay of a month before the PS5 launched. Sony announced that the game would release for free to Playstation Plus subscribers but only for the first two months after its release.
The developer also said that fans of the game’s Blitz mode don’t need to worry about AI bots coming in to ruin the experience, because Blitz as a competitive mode, will never have a feature of Bots. Adding this feature very soon just after launch may not be that much encouraging, but during launch, the developer promised that Destruction AllStars has at least a year of post-launch content planned.
