A new Ubisoft multiplayer PvP game is now combining multiple Tom Clancy titles which are named as BattleCat has been leaked. As per the report by VGC, Twitter user Zer0Bytes tweeted a series of internal images from the game that have since been deleted, with VGC confirming about the images that they were real and for the in-development first-person shooter BattleCat coming to consoles and PC.
As per the reports, The game combines Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and Division games into a single Tom Clancy-inspired PvP shooter. The images that are leaked include playable characters from Splinter Cell’s Echelon, Breakpoint’s Wolves, and The Divisions Cleaners and Outcasts. Each class will be having their own unique regular and ultimate abilities, like the Outcasts’ Divine Intervention, which would prevent nearby friendly players from dying for a short time
The images that are leaked include two game modes: Escort and Ringleader. The escort will need to require attackers to guide a package to a delivery zone with the defenders trying to stop it, just similar to Overwatch’s Payload game type. Ringleader has also players that are trying to collect rings dropped by defeated players, similar to Call of Duty’s Kill Confirmed mode.
As per VGC, BattleCat’ is very early in development and won’t be making an appearance at Ubisoft Forward on June 12. Ubisoft has also combined multiple Tom Clancy titles previously with the mobile game Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad, which was the subject of controversy for using the Black Lives Matter raised fist image for the game’s terrorist group.
With the leaks, It is also very much important to note that the game could change drastically during development and that some information could also be out of date or could be inaccurate. Ubisoft has also said to expect some surprises at its presentation during E3 2021, which will include some information about the newly renamed Rainbow Six Extraction.
BattleCat will be allowing players to take on a role within one of four prominent Tom Clancy universe factions; Echelon from Splinter Cell, the Wolves from Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and the Cleaners and Outcasts from The Division. The leaked images will have text that explains Echelon players are invisible on the mini-map and they can reveal the locations of enemy team members, and it will link them to the stealth and intel gameplay of Splinter Cell. These faction characters will also be having ultimate abilities; the Outcasts can use ‘Divine Intervention’ in order to prevent allies from dying for a limited time. The Wolves will have a large mobile area-of-effect shield for use in push or defence situations.
